This is a vintage laundry mailing box from the early 20th century. The black fiberboard case features metal corners, canvas straps, and 2 label holders. From the 1910s to the 1960s, shipping clothing home to be laundered was a cheaper and helpful alternative for college students and military servicemen, or anyone else that did not have the time or resources to do it on their own. Today, it makes a fantastic storage piece for the home or office.
