Missile Command, which was launched in 1980 by Atari, is a fixed shooter in which you defend six cities from ballistic missiles by using a trackball to position and a fire button to launch counter-missiles, eliminating attacking warheads and conserving limited ammunition, recharging only when batteries run out. Bomber aircraft pose additional danger.
Dramatic cityside artwork of cities burning orange and black decorates the vertical cabinet. On an angled control panel along the bottom of the screen, a red fire button and trackball are placed. Above the 19″ CRT, a backlit "MISSILE COMMAND" marquee in block letters beckons players; alarm effects emanate from a mono speaker.
All arcade machines in the replica category include the original arcade board- fully refurbished by pcb artisans and given a new lease of life in your arcade, bar or if you're a really big fan- home!
These mimic the original arcade machine aside from the use of modern components like LCD screen (no more screen burn) and modern coin mechs. We can customise them to run any denomination or even have tokens made should you require them. These machines are built to last and pull in the punters :)
All replica machines are backed by a 12-month back-to-base warranty with parts/labour included as free with this system. With all arcade machines you get unlimited phone/email support so you can be confident that you will always get help if required.
